Terms and Conditions

Effective 2026-05-30. Last updated 2026-05-30.

oThought is an AI thought partner for private idea capture, not therapy, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or emergency support.

AI output can be wrong. Users keep responsibility for decisions, research verification, and what they choose to build.

Paid plans are capped by voice minutes and entitlements. No plan includes unlimited voice usage.

Users must be at least 16 years old and old enough to consent in their country.

Agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern access to oThought, including the mobile app, website, AI calls, idea capture, plans, research, billing features, and support channels.

By using oThought, the user agrees to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If the user does not agree, they should not use the service.

oThought is operated by Taskless Eenmanszaak, operating from Netherlands. The current operator address is Box C9857 Verdunplein 17, 5627SZ, Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Operator registration: KVK 97491071; VAT NL005273102B84.

What oThought is

oThought is a call-first AI thought partner. It helps users talk through ideas, capture transcripts, save ideas, build a Mastermind Map, generate plans, run background research, and prepare follow-up for future calls.

oThought is not a human, therapist, doctor, lawyer, accountant, investment adviser, emergency service, or regulated professional service. It may feel familiar and conversational, but it is still AI-supported software.

Eligibility

Users must be at least 16 years old and old enough to consent to these Terms and to data processing in their country. Users under 13 may not use oThought.

If a user uses oThought on behalf of a company or other organization, they represent that they have authority to bind that organization.

Accounts and security

Users may use some features with an anonymous or device-local account and may save an account for sync and backup.

Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and devices. Users should not share accounts, impersonate others, attempt to bypass entitlement limits, or use another person's account without permission.

User content

The user keeps ownership of their spoken thoughts, transcripts, recordings, saved ideas, plans, notes, uploads, and other content they provide to oThought.

The user gives oThought a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, transform, summarize, analyze, and store that content only as needed to provide, secure, improve, support, and operate the service, and as described in the Privacy Policy.

Users are responsible for having the rights to content they provide and for not uploading confidential third-party information, trade secrets, personal data, or copyrighted material they do not have permission to process in oThought.

AI output and research

AI-generated responses, idea cards, summaries, plans, research findings, labels, tasks, and recommendations may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, outdated, or unsuitable for a user's situation.

External research should include sources, retrieval dates, and confidence when available. Users should verify important claims before relying on them.

The user is responsible for decisions made using oThought output, including business, creative, technical, financial, legal, health, or personal decisions.

Professional and emergency disclaimers

oThought does not provide medical, mental health, therapy, legal, tax, accounting, investment, insurance, or other regulated professional advice.

oThought is not an emergency service and does not monitor users for emergencies. If a user may harm themselves or others, or needs urgent help, they should contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.

Acceptable use

Users may not misuse oThought or use it to harm people, systems, or the service.

  • No illegal activity, fraud, abuse, stalking, harassment, threats, exploitation, or privacy violations.
  • No attempts to obtain or expose another person's private information without permission.
  • No content involving sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, or abuse of minors.
  • No attempts to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, bypass paywalls, bypass usage caps, extract provider secrets, or interfere with security.
  • No using AI output as a substitute for professional advice in high-stakes situations without qualified human review.
  • No uploading content the user lacks rights to process or disclose.

Subscriptions, top-ups, and billing

oThought may offer Free, Pro, Founder, annual variants, top-up minutes, and one-off packs. Plans include limits such as voice minutes, saved ideas, and feature access. No plan includes unlimited voice usage.

Paid subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through the relevant app store or payment provider. Store terms, taxes, refund rules, cancellation timing, regional billing options, and subscription-management flows may apply.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the relevant app store or payment provider. Cancellation normally stops future renewals, but does not automatically refund the current period unless store policy or mandatory law requires it.

Top-ups and one-off digital packs may be non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law, store policy, or a written oThought refund policy.

Apple App Store and Google Play billing, cancellation, taxes, chargebacks, and refunds may be handled by the relevant store and their terms.

oThought may change plan features, limits, or prices. If a change is material, users should receive notice and, where required, consent before the change affects them.

Usage limits and availability

Voice minutes, background AI work, research, and storage may be limited to protect reliability and cost. The service may pause AI access when a user's allowance is exhausted until they renew, upgrade, or top up.

oThought may be unavailable, delayed, degraded, or incorrect due to network conditions, provider outages, maintenance, app store issues, or third-party service failures.

Deletion and termination

Users can delete calls, transcripts, recordings, ideas, plans, and related content without deleting their account. Users can also delete their full account from Account settings. Account deletion may not delete retained categories such as billing, tax, accounting, refund, and chargeback records; fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, and security records; support, privacy-rights, deletion-audit, legal, and dispute records.

oThought may suspend or terminate access if a user violates these Terms, creates legal or security risk, abuses the service, or fails to pay for paid access.

If an account with an active app-store subscription is deleted, billing may continue through the store until the user cancels the subscription through the store's subscription-management tools.

Intellectual property

oThought, its app, design, software, brand, logo, prompts, workflows, and service infrastructure are owned by the oThought operator or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer oThought intellectual property to users.

Feedback, suggestions, bug reports, and ideas about improving oThought may be used without restriction or compensation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Third-party services

oThought depends on third-party services such as app stores, RevenueCat, authentication providers, Convex, LiveKit or other voice infrastructure, AI providers, notification providers, cloud infrastructure, support tooling, and security tooling.

Provider policies can change independently, so oThought does not treat every provider policy update as a Terms change; however, material changes to data use, sensitive-content access, training, retention, or processing region may require notice or acceptance.

Current provider inventory reviewed 2026-05-27: 9 active or platform providers, 9 configurable or fallback providers.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, oThought is provided as is and as available, without warranties of accuracy, reliability, uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to every user.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the oThought operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business, or decisions made using AI output.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taskless's total liability for claims relating to oThought is limited to the greater of EUR 100 or the amount the user paid for oThought in the 12 months before the claim.

This liability cap is a launch draft and still needs legal review. It does not limit liability where applicable law does not allow limitation.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the Laws of the Netherlands.

Competent courts in the Netherlands, subject to mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived

Changes to these Terms

oThought may update these Terms as the product, providers, pricing, laws, or business model changes.

For material changes, oThought should notify users in the app, and where required by law also by email, push notification, store notice, or affirmative consent before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date may mean acceptance where permitted by law.
